Guerilla Storytime

I'm gearing up to implement Phase 1 of Guerrilla Story Time. I'm not sure what Phase 2 might entail, but Phase 1 involves reading stories to Buckaroo in public places where small children are hanging out. The problem is that so far I've only come up with the laundromat as a possible reading spot. I suppose fast food joints might work, but then-- must we have to eat the food? They must be places where kids have a little time to spend hearing a story. Any ideas?

Also, I've actually decided against calling it "Guerrilla Story Time" as it doesn't really connote peace, so I need a name that suggests sneakiness or surprise. Sweet P and I perused the thesaurus and are considering "Blutterbunged Story Time," but maybe that's too much of a mouthful. Feel free to pitch your ideas here.

Happy Reading!

How about Improv Storytime? Or Impromptu Storytime?

How about On the Spot Storytime? or Aha Storytime? or Gorilla Storytime, but that might be confusing and present a need to explain the reference which would then lead back to the whole no peace thing and that would kind of defeat the purpose. Forget that one.

I read to you at the laundromat and any other place; in the middle of visiting with friends, living rooms of family members. Family and friends were amazed at how well you read and you were just bitty. Whatever you call storytime, kids will enjoy hearing you read. Have fun! Love, Mom

The first thing I thought of was Kamikaze Story - and that's much worse than Guerilla! Hmmm, a peaceful surprise.....got nothing. But I love the idea of you as a Tale Flasher! Again, not so good for the kiddos. I'll think some more. Outstanding idea though. fmf

What about
Surprise! Storytime!
Somehow the two exclamation points seem necessary.

I definitely think you should get yourself a twitter account in the name you choose and just post time and place to get a following going. Man, may we please have lots of details? I want to live vicariously through this one and maybe imitate ya...
